English:
E.E. apply ESL (English as a second language) approach in teaching
English to Japanese children. We use bilingual, both Japanese and
English language to students, especially early learners,
but gradually transform to ‘English Only’ lesson.
What is an ESL Program?
ESL Program: (English
as a Second Language)
ESL program provides an English language
instruction for nonnative
Speakers,
and through ESL, we help children to learn, and to improve their ability in
English. As well as exploring different cultures, and their own culture in
English.
Explore
English’s goal is to help students to have confidence in using English language,
and at the same time learning it in a fun way.
Our
program includes listening comprehension, speaking, writing, grammar for kids,
and
reading.

English(英語で探検)と呼ぶプロジェクトでは様々な異文化を調べたり、生徒自身の国や文化を英語で表現する事も大切にしています。このプロジェクトは英語を楽しく勉強しながら、生徒達に英会話の自信を持たせる事を目標にしています。我々のプログラムにはリスニング、スピーキング、ライティング、リーディング、そして子供向けの文法等が含まれています。
エクスプロア イングリッシュは茅ヶ崎市 、矢畑にある英語教室です、

before our class begin, I always ask my students various questions such as;
How are you today? I'm good/hungry/sleepy/not bad....
How many classes did you have today?
Did you play today?
What did you play today?
and many more....
with these 'everyday questions' my students naturally learn how to response,
and unconsciously making a conversation in English.
E.E. classroom story 1:
As we were waiting for the other students to arrive, I asked my student a few questions
(as I always do) and it went like this-
Teacher: Hi, how are you today?
Student : I'm good.
Teacher : What did you do today?
Student: I stayed home with grandma.( it was a holiday)
and we went somewhere by bicycle. ( with gesture of course)
Teacher: Really, I'm glad you had fun......
E.E. classroom Story 2:
Yesterday my students asked me if I could read Kanji(Japanese characters),
I said that I could but not that good, then she asked me again if I could speak
Japanese, and I said yes, but in the classroom we should use English,
and she continue to say that I should also speak to them in Japanese,
in some cases YES I do, specially when teaching
grammar for older kids, as stated above in my introduction, I use both
but as much as possible I want my kids to be expose and be familiar with English.
So I sat with her, and explained to her that I love both language but
I want them to learn English as well, then she simply replied to me with,
"OK, now I understand, you want me to speak English too,right?
I had this talk with a small girl, and with her smile, she gave me an assurance that
she somehow understood what I meant.
